About the PTO

A message from the PTO Executive Board

On behalf of the PTO, We welcome you to the organization. You may ask, "What is the PTO?" PTO stands for Parent-Teacher Organization. It consists of parents and teachers working together to support and enrich the Heritage Community. Our primary objective is to provide our school with funds, programs, resources, and services to enhance and maximize every child's education and to benefit the school

Throughout the school year, we host fundraisers, which help the PTO meet this objective. The PTO sponsors and supports school book fairs, after-school programs, family fun nights, student enrichment programs, author visits, the Carnival, Staff appreciation, student field trips, Field Day, and other events and fundraisers.

IF YOU ARE WONDERING HOW YOU CAN BE A PART OF THIS ORGANIZATION, THE ANSWER IS THAT YOU ARE ALREADY A MEMBER!There are no dues to be a part of the PTO. You can just simply come to the meetings and get involved. It is that easy! We are a small but mighty group, and we need your help, and so do your child(ren). Making the PTO successful is a team effort, and we cannot succeed without the support of volunteers.

The PTO does everything because of past and future volunteers like YOU! Many parents feel they cannot participate in the PTO because they cannot attend meetings or be at the school regularly. No worries, there is something for everyone! We want everyone to feel that they are a part of the Heritage community. Whether you have 30 minutes a day or 30 minutes a month, your ideas, your time, and your talents are truly needed. We can match your availability and interests to the right project. Throughout the year, opportunities will become available for the many events we have at Heritage.
