Important Dismissal Changes for 2025-26 School Year!

Heritage Dismissal

*Please remember dismissal will begin at 3:40*

Car Riders:
To ensure the safety of all students, staff, and community members, we will be changing our dismissal process. Parents/ Guardians will be parking in the back lot and walking to the side gym doors to pick up their child (Parking Map).This is how the process will work...

• At 3:35, the side gym doors will open and the parents/guardians will enter the gym. 
• A Heritage staff member will ask for your car tag number (which you MUST have in order to pick up your child) and enter it in the Dismissal Sheet system. 
• The Heritage staff member will tell the parent/guardian where to stand to wait for their child.
• At 3:40, the bell will ring and students in rows 1-4 on the dismissal sheet will be dismissed from their classes to the gym. 
• They will come into the gym door and be checked into their rows by two to three Heritage staff members and stand in the open area underneath the basketball court. 
• The students will be released by row to the corresponding parent/guardian row and will be matched up by the car rider tag (which you MUST have in order to pick up your child). When matched up, the parent/guardian and student will then exit the same side gym doors.
• When you walk your child to the car, please hold their hand and look both ways. When backing up to leave, please do NOT be on your cell phone and be aware of others backing up also. Officer Mike and administration will be out to help with this process.
• If you can NOT find a spot to park in, please circle around until a spot opens. 
•  Remember that instructional time goes until 3:40 each day. If you sign your child out early, it will count on their attendance. 
• If you do NOT  have your car tag with you during pick up, you will be required to go to the main office with your photo ID and we will assist you in picking up your student. 

Car Tags:

ALL HERITAGE STUDENTS WILL BE ASSIGNED A NUMBER. Each family will receive a car tag with the provided number to be kept in your car. Each student will also have that assigned number on their backpack. Families will need to provide the car rider tag for their child to be part of our car rider line. If you carpool or need a different individual to pick up your child, you will need to provide them with your car tag. If you do not have your car tag with you during pick up, you will be required to come into the office with your photo ID.

Daily Car Rider List/Identification:
Students who are car riders everyday will always be placed on our daily car rider list. If your child will be a car rider and they normally ride the bus, please make sure to call the office at 513.863.7060 or e-mail Chris Tserng at christina.tserng@lakotaonline.com before 2:30pm so they can be put on a daily pick up list. We have to stick to this time due to making sure that all students and staff are aware of the change and no one worries.

1. Arrival will remain the same, please review all transportation procedures here. All transportation forms need to be filled out by Jul 31, 2025 to guarantee bussing for the first day of school. Please make sure you have completed your Final Forms.
