Attention Heritage 2nd graders-It's time for March Madness!

Heritage March Madness Is Almost Here!

March is just around the corner, which means it’s time for March Madness… Lakota style!

This year’s tournament will run Monday, April 6 – Thursday, April 16 and is open to all Lakota students in grades 2–6. Each team will compete against other Lakota ECC and elementary schools in a single‑elimination tournament.

In 2025, we had 146 teams and over 1,300 students participate!
The cost to participate is $25 per student, which includes a uniform T‑shirt and tournament entry fee. All proceeds support local charities—last year we donated over $19,000 to organizations in our community.

Player Assessments – March 9

All participants must attend the assessment:

• Girls: 6:00–7:00 PM
• Boys: 7:00–8:00 PM

No prior basketball experience is required—all students are encouraged to join!

Parent Volunteers Needed

We are looking for parent volunteer coaches to support this year’s event. Coaches will:

• Help run player assessments
• Organize practices
• Complete team forms
• Coach during the tournament
