We at Heritage partner with our families to provide a strong home-to-school connection. Below are ways we stay connected to our school community and information about the various communications that families will receive throughout the year.
Heritage Happenings
Each Friday, families receive our “Heritage Happenings” by email. Here we share upcoming events, important school information, district news, and highlight our learning for the week.
Families will be notified primarily through email regarding reminders for upcoming events, new information, and emergency notifications.
2025-2026 Editions
Our newsletters are translated into 11 different languages. To view the newsletter in a language other than English, please click on a newsletter issue below. When the newsletter opens, select your preferred language from the 'Language Picker' dropdown in the upper lefthand corner.

District Communications Portal
At Lakota, transparent and timely communication is critically important. We use ParentSquare to deliver important school and district news and announcements primarily via email, but oftentimes by phone and text message as well.
All parent/guardian contact information updated in FinalForms and then displayed in your Home Access Center account is our primary source of email addresses and phone numbers used to communicate classroom, school and district news. Parents cannot update their contact information in any other portal. Staff are encouraged to update just their phone number via Lakota's payroll department, as noted below. Community members are also encouraged to subscribe to district and school communications.
